- Kukke Shri Subrahmanya Temple: Lord Subramanya is the deity worshipped in the form of a Cobra in Kukke Shri Subrahmanya Temple. It is believed that a person either in this birth or any of his previous births can be afflicted by the Sarpa (serpent) dosha (curse) and poojas performed here by devotees are to get rid of the dosha.
Manjunathaswamy Temple: Taking the form of a shiva linga, Manjunatheshwara is the chief deity of the spiritual abode. The temple is one of the famous religious landmarks with a history as old as 800 years.
Bahubali Statue Dharmasthala: Standing at a height of 39-feet, the majestic shrine of lord Bahubali can be reached by climbing steps of the hill or by road. It was sculpted, under the aegis of Shri Ratnavarma Heggade, in 1973 by the famed sculptor Renjala Gopalkrishna Shenoy.
Kadri Manjunatha Temple: Depicting early Vijayanagara architecture dating back to 10th and 11th century AD, the temple is the spectacular temple of Lord Manjunatha or Lord Shiva.
Mangaladevi Temple: A 1000 years old ancient temple of Mangaladevi nestles deep inside the forest of Periyar Tiger Reserve. Famous for its Pandyan architecture, the legend behind this divine temple is mind-boggling.
Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple: The Shivalinga has been worshipped by the Maharaja as Sharabeshwara and now this temple is one of the famous places to visit.
Kudupu Ananthapadmanabha Temple: 10 km away from Mangalore City, Kudupu Ananthapadmanabha Temple is dedicated to Lord Anantha Padmanabha, another form of Lord Vishnu.
Udupi Krishna Temple: The Udupi Krishna Temple is the centre of the Dvaita Vedanta Hindu philosophy that believes Lord Vishnu (the Supreme Soul) and the individual souls have independent existential realities.
Chandramouleshwara Temple: 900-year-old temple of Chandramouleshwara has marvellous sculptures that attract any art lover. Lord Shiva is the deity of the temple.
Anantheshwara Temple: A historic Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Anantheshwara Temple was built during the reign of the Alupas in the 8th century C.E. It is considered among the oldest in the Tulu Nadu region.
Anegudde Vinayaka Temple: Anegudde is also popularly called as Kumbashi, a name said to be derived from demon Kumbhasura. The temple at Anegudde is dedicated to Lord Vinayaka or Lord Ganesha.
- Mahabaleshwara Temple: One amongst the most visited temples, Mahabaleshwara Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Hindu epics of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata can be found here.
Tamra Gowri Temple: Nestled inside the complex of Mahabaleshwar Temple in Gokarna, Tamra Gowri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Gauri or Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva. Tamra Kund is a sacred pond opposite to the temple.
Sri Madhukeshwara Temple: Getting its name from the honey-hued Shiva Lingam inside the sanctum, Sri Madhukeshwara Temple dates back to the 9th century and is one of oldest temples in Karnataka.
Jog Falls: A waterfall on the Sharavathi river located in the Western Ghats, Jog Falls is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India. Raja, Rani, Roarer and Rocket are the four cascades that plunge from a height of 829 feet.
Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple: Home of Goddess Chowdeshwari who is also referred to as Sigandur Chowdeshwari, Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple's idol is prayed and worshipped by devotees to bless them with peace and prosperity.
Goddess Mookambika Temple: A Hindu temple dedicated to the Mother Goddess known as Mookambika Devi. It is situated in the foothills of Kodachadri hills and is believed to be created by sage Parashurama.
Sri Sharadamba Temple: A famous Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Saraswati, Sri Sharadamba Temple is an 8th-century temple founded by Sri Adi Shankaracharya.
Kalaseshwara Temple: After praying and worshipping with sacred flowers and payasam milk, God Para Siva became happy and appeared in front of Sage Agastya. He gave a gift to him and named as Kalasheshwara.

Karnataka Temple Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Bangalore to Kukke Subrahmanya | Visit Main Temple of Subrahmanya

    Day 1 of Karnataka temple tour will start by picking you up from Bangalore and get ready to be transferred to Kukke Subrahmanya.

    Check-in to the hotel and freshen up.

    After you have rested for a while we will move towards the main temple of Subrahmanya.

    Later we will pay a visit to the Adi Subrahmanya Temple. Lord Brahma requested Lord Subrahmanya to allow him to make this site his home according to the mythology. Later Lord Yama cursed this site and it lost its significance.

    Overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 2 - Kukke Subrahmanya to Dharmasthala to Mangalore | View Manjunathaswamy Temple

    Check-out from the hotel after breakfast.

    Today, we will drive to Mangalore. En-route, we will be stopping at Dharamshala and exploring the place.

    We will be paying a visit to the Manjunathaswamy Temple. Here, we will pray to the deity and view the years old temple.

    Later, we will be visiting Ratnagiri and viewing the statue of Bhagawan Bahubali and Sri Rama Kshetra.

    Bahubali Statue is a breathtaking monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali and is a figure known for his Strength, Power and Intellect.

    Upon reaching Mangalore, we will check-in and enjoy our overnight stay there.

  • Day 3 - Mangalore to Udupi | Visit Kadri Manjunatha Temple, Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple

    We would be visiting the temples of Mangalore today after the morning breakfast as per the Karnataka temple tour.

    The first temple we will be visiting is Kadri Manjunatha Temple.

    Later, we will be exploring Mangaladevi Temple, Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple, and Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple.

    Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra is also known as Gokarnanatheshwara Temple. Consecrated by Narayana Guru, the temple is dedicated to Gokarnanatha, a form of Lord Shiva.

    A visit to Kateel Durga Parameshwari Temple and Kudupu Ananthapadmanabha Temple is next in the list.

    Malpe beach visit is planned in the evening. It is one of the unexplored beaches in India where you can relax by the shore and enjoy the sound of water.

    We would be travelling back to Mangalore and enjoying our overnight stay in a hotel there.

  • Day 4 - Udupi to Murudeshwar to Idagunji to Gokarna | Visit Udupi Krishna Temple, Chandramouleshwara Temple

    Early in the morning, we will start our journey towards the Udupi Krishna Temple.

    Dedicated to Lord Krishna, the temple is considered as one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in Southern India.

    Chandramouleshwara Temple and Anantheshwara temple will be visited next on this day.

    After breakfast in the hotel, we will check-out and head towards Murudeshwara.

    We will be visiting Anegudde Vinayaka Temple on the way. The Lord Vinayaka here is said to fulfil all the wishes of his devotees.

    Murudeshwar is the next town to visit. Here we will view the breathtaking effigy of Lord Shiva.

    Ganapathi Temple at Idagunji will be visited en-route Gokarna.

    Overnight stay at hotel in Gokarna.

  • Day 5 - Gokarna to Sirsi | Visit Mahabaleshwara Temple, Tamra Gowri Temple

    Today's morning will start with the visit to the Mahabaleshwara Temple. It is one of the famous temples in Gokarna.

    Next, we will be paying a visit to the Ganapathi Temple and Tamra Gowri Temple.

    After having breakfast in the hotel, we will head towards Sirsi.

    After resting in the Sirsi hotel we will start the journey towards Sahasralinga.

    A location where hundreds of Lingas are carved in stone in Shalmala River nestling in the Western Ghats.

    Goddess Marikamba Temple at Sirsi will be visited in the evening. The temple was built in the 16th century and is one of the places you cannot miss visiting.

    After visiting the Shri Gopalakrishna Temple and Maha Ganapathi temple, we will move back to the hotel.

    Overnight stay at the hotel after coming back to Gokarna from Sirsi.

  • Day 6 - Sirsi to Sigandur to Kollur | Visit Jog Falls, Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple

    After breakfast on day 6 of Karnataka temple tour, we will head towards exploring India's second-highest waterfall nestling in the natural beauty, Jog Falls. It is also known by the name of Jogada Gundi and Gersoppa Falls.

    Situated near the river Sharavathi, Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple is our next destination. It is surrounded by lush green beauty and is the temple of self-evident and is very powerful Goddess.

    Goddess Mookambika's Temple lying in the foot of the Western Ghats is next. It is said that Shri Adi Shankaracharya deified the panchaloha image of the goddess on Shri Chakra.

    Overnight stay in Kollur hotel.

  • Day 7 - Kollur to Sringeri to Horanadu | Visit Vidya Shankara Temple, Sri Sharadamba Temple

    After breakfast and checking-out of the hotel, we will drive towards Sringeri.

    On the way, find an opportunity to view the beauty of Agumbe Ghat. Western Ghats mountains and lush rainforest circumscribe Agumbe Ghat making it a beautiful place to marvel at.

    We will visit Vidya Shankara Temple and Sri Sharadamba Temple here.

    Sri Sharadamba Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Saraswati and is an 8th-century temple, founded by Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

    Overnight stay at the hotel in Horanadu.

  • Day 8 - Horanadu to Kalasa to Belur to Halebidu | Visit Kalaseshwara Temple | Back To Bangalore

    After breakfast on this day of the tour, we will head towards Bangalore from Horanadu.

    En-route, at Kalasa, we will visit the Kalaseshwara Temple.

    The chief attraction in Kalasa, Kalaseshwara Temple is a must-visit.
