Vidisha near Sanchi is an antique town that has played a significant role not only in Ramayana and Meghdoot but also during the golden era of Mauryas and Guptas. Put together in the fork of the Betwa and Bes rivers, Vidisha district is an embodiment of numerous historical treasures. Just a few kilometres from the city situated the Udaygiri Caves and Gyaraspur, two of the supreme ancient sites to discover.

Madhya Pradesh is a scenic wonder gifted with amazing elements of nature. One such wonder is the forests of Madhya Pradesh, where there are gems waiting to be discovered. One such amazing element is the beauty of the lakes that find their home here. Amongst the many lakes here, one located some 90 km from the city of Bhopal is famous amongst most of them. Known as the Mini Kashmir of Madhya Pradesh, Chidi Kho is a large lake located in the middle of Narsinghgarh Wildlife Sanctuary of the Rajgarh District.

Highlights of the education trip:

Udaygiri-  A village known for its caves
Go about five kilometres from the west of Vidisha and you will be welcomed by a group of 20 caves called Udaygiri caves. 

Tropic Of Cancer 
On the way to Udayagiri you will see a line which is responsible for the harsh climate that the region of Madhya Pradesh is known for. Summers are extremely hot and start by February, lasting till July. 

Sanchi- Famous for Sanchi Stupa 
Sanchi Stupa is a Buddhist complex, famous for its Great Stupa, on a hilltop at Sanchi Town in Raisen District of the State of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is located 46 kilometres north-east of Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh.

Narsinghgarh - Chidi kho wildlife sanctuary 
 it covers an area of 57.197 Sq. Km. Due to its natural beauty it is also known as "Kashmir of Malwa", Chidikho Lake is one of the tourist attractions.
The sanctuary was built by the erstwhile rulers of Narsinghgarh state and used for hunting migratory birds, due to which the local people named the lake as "Chidikho Lake". State bird "Dhoodh Raj" is seen here. The National bird, peacock, is also found in abundance.

Heritage & Wildlife Circuit Cycling Tour From Bhopal Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Bhopal - Udaygiri (approx 90 kms)

    After you arrive at the starting point of the ride in Bhopal, you will have to go through a few formalities before the starting of the tour.

    After flag-off, start cycling toward Udaygiri caves, the ride is approx. 90 kms long.

    You will have lunch in between.

    On the way to Udayagiri you will be seeing tropic of cancer and sanchi stupa.

    All this while you will be cycling through the beautiful highway of Bhopal i.e.

    As you arrive at the accommodation place in Udayagiri Village , you will receive a warm welcome.

    Stay overnight at Udayagiri

  • Day 2 - Udayagiri - Narsingarh (approx 85 kms)

    Wake up early in the morning for a beautiful sunrise.

    After Breakfast,get ready to visit Udayagiri cave & Sanchi Stupa.

    After Sightseeing,start paddling towards the second destination i.e. Narsingarh.

    On the way to Narsingarh you will be seeing beautiful hills, memorising views and butter smooth highways.

    Lunch will be served in a local village dhaba.

    After Lunch, you will be reaching Narsingharh, and admire the beauty of the forest of Madhya Pradesh.

    Watch the breathtaking sunset and reach our second accommodation place in Narsingarh .

    Take rest and have your dinner.

    After dinner, you can have your personal time to enjoy the place and sleep.

  • Day 3 - Narsinghgarh - Bhopal (approx 85 kms)

    After waking up to a mesmerizing sunrise, and breakfast.

    After breakfast, you will be taken to the wildlife sanctuary near Narsingarh.

    Where you will see tons of species of birds and wildlife.

    After sightseeing, your adventure will come to an end.

    Ride back to Bhopal.
