About the tour
The tour will take you to some of the oldest food shops in the city where you will be tasting local delicacies made from locals in the local style. The tour also includes some new popular shops that serve traditional food with a modern twist. You will be taken through narrow lanes and local shops that no tourist ever visits.

Taste 7 mouth-watering dishes cooked in local style and get insights on their origin and preparation.
Dishes like idiyappam, nuller puttu, payamburi, dhokla, chips, variety of namkeens and kerala halwa, taste of these will definitely delight you. Refresh yourselves with local-style tea and finish off your tour with delicious desserts. 

An experienced local storyteller guide will be there with you all the time and tell you interesting stories and facts about the dishes.

  • Day 1 - Food Walk in Trivandrum

    Stroll the lanes with oldest food shop of the city of lakes, taste variety of local Kerala snacks like idiyappam, nuller puttu, payamburi, dhokla, chips, variety of namkeens and kerala halwa, taste of these will definitely delight you.

    Witness the preparation of the most celebrated sweets in the coastal state, some delicacies that even though did not originate from Trivandrum but still are a part of its rich cuisine for centuries.

    Sip a cup of chai tea in clay pot with unmatched views of Trivandrum, admire its beauty while doing what people like doing – eat.

    Taste Trivandrumi Sweets, and different variety of mouth freshener, Chaat ect. and end the walk with a delicious dessert.
