Perched on a hilltop in the village of Talwari, over 5,500 ft. in the Garhwal Himalayas, this property is a comfortable home offering spectacular views of the Nanda Devi Range through its large glass windows. There is a stone fire-place in the warm and comfortable living room with old wooden artefacts and geodes to gild it. The snow-capped Himalayan peaks are a treat to watch while waking up in one of the 3 spacious bedrooms.

The area around Talwari is famous for bird watching and trekking. Spotting rare Himalayan birds and the majestic eagles soaring in the sky is as wonderful as they are.

Meals can be availed at the home. The cook at SaffronStays Tridiva prepares fresh, home-cooked local meals such as delicious Pahadi Rajma, Aloo paranthas made using local potatoes which have a distinctive sweet flavour, steaming pakoras, pahadi meat curry among much else.

Talwari is a good 8 hour drive from Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun. For those who wish to make a break journey, there are several towns that intersect the path - beginning from the Spiritual Rishikesh, head towards Dev Prayag, a site of religious significance as the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda become the mighty Ganga. Follow the Alaknanda till Rudra Prayag, another point of confluence of the rivers Mandakini and Alaknanda, where the road points you towards Karn Prayag. As one clings to the Pindari river, which has it's source in Pindari Glaciers in the north-east of Uttarakhand, one hopes to finally stumble upon Talwari, on the way to the larger town of Gwaldham.

Vegetarian - Rs 400 per person, per meal.

Non-vegetarian - Rs 500 per person, per meal.

Fish and mutton preparations shall be charged extra, at certain costs which are payable in cash to the caretaker onsite.
