Day 1 of the Chennai to Rameshwaram package, you will be welcomed by our representative who will then take you on a temple tour in Madurai. You will first visit the Meenakshi Annam temple - this Dravidian style temple sits on the banks of river Vaigai, and is dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi who is a form of Parvati. From there you will go to Thiruparankundram - it is a 6th-century temple dedicated to Lord Murugan. You will also love the rock carvings here.
Besides these, you will also travel to the Kallazhagar Temple in Alagar Koyil village, Koodal Azhagar Temple and Pazhamudircholai Temple.By the end of it, you will travel to Rameshwaram.

Our tour guide did a very good job and we had a great day. He took a lot of good pictures of usl and also told us a lot about the history. After the tour he took us to a great local restaurant and some nice stores. He also speaks very good English! I would highly recommend!!!
