About the Chardham Yatra Package by Train: 

  • Char Dham yatra leads you to a set of four religious places, and completing a tour of these four places is believed to provide “moksha” to the ones looking for it. Located in different parts of the country, these sacred places hold the most peaceful vibes in India.
  • The Char Dham yatra package by train will start as soon as you reach the Haridwar railway station, from where you will travel towards Barkot. The first day will be spent on moving from Haridwar to Barkot and on the way you can enjoy the scenic beauty of Mussoorie.
  • The second day will be filled with surprises in Barkot, you will trek for 6 KM from Jan ki Chatti and reach the Yamunotri Dham, the place where River Yamuna was born. Marvel at the scenes of Yamuna river flowing in its extreme speed as you stay around its shores for a while. Experience what calmness in serenity feels like as you will descend back towards Jan ki chatti in the evening.
  • Start the third day of Char Dham yatra by train by reaching Uttarkashi, which is a holy town located on the banks of river Bhagirathi. Uttarkashi offers the blessing of Lord Shiva in Bhairon Temple and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the goddess of food in the Annapurna Temple.
  • Day four of the trip will take you to Gangotri, where people accumulate to offer prayers, pooja, and have the holy prasad. This place is believed to be the location from where the River Ganga originated at an elevation of 3100 meters.
  • As you will ascend towards the fifth day of this pilgrimage, you will be taken to Guptkashi. Get mesmerized by the sight of Baghirathi and Alakhnanda coming together at Devprayag. After reaching Guptkashi, attend a blissful prayer at Ardhnarishwar Temple - a temple dedicated to the half-male and half-female form of Lord Shiva.
  • Day six of the trip will take you towards Gaurikund, which is also famous as the place where Lord Shiva expressed his love for Goddess Parvati. There is a small pool of hot water, which originated naturally and stays warm all year round.
  • From Gaurikund, you will proceed towards Kedarnath, the most remote location of this Char Dham Yatra. This place is home to the holiest Kedarnath Temple, which is located in the middle of high Himalayas, thus creating an image as if the mountains are guarding it. This was the place where Lord Shiva expressed his love for Goddess Gauri, this is dedicated to both of them.
  • On the seventh day, you will be traveling from Kedarnath to Gaurikund and Gaurikund to Guptkashi.
  • On the eighth day of this trip you will proceed towards Badrinath and check in to the hotel spend some time there. This whole town will shower you with the blessings of Lord Vishnu. Also, marvel at the holy confluence of River Alaknanda and River Mandakini.
  • The ninth day of Char Dham Yatra will be spent in the Badrinath temple. Pilgrims from all over the world visit here to seek blessings of Lord Vishnu at the Badrinath Temple. The aura of this holy site is pure as well as magical. 
  • Day ten of this trip will take you towards the end as you descend back towards Haridwar. Marvel at the sites of Ganga Aarti at its various ghats or dip in the holy water to get rid of any illness.
  • The holy trip of Char Dham Yatra will come to an end as you travel towards the station while taking millions of blessings with you.

Chardham Yatra Package by Train Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Haridwar | Transfer to Barkot via Mussoorie
  • Day 1 of the tour will start as you arrive at Haridwar, where you will be greeted by our representative to begin the char dham yatra package by train
  • Commence your spiritual journey as you proceed towards the first Dham on the char dham yatra
  • Our first stop will be at Barkot, a small village near Yamunotri, where we will acclimatize ourselves for a trek to the temple the next day.
  • En route, we will visit the famous Kempty Falls of Mussoorie.
  • On arrival in Barkot, check-in at the hotel and relax.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at hotel
Day 2
Yamunotri Temple Visit
  • After an early breakfast move to Jan ki Chatti, the road head for the Yamunotri Temple trek
  • Begin the enthralling 6 km trek that passes through Hanuman Chatti and Phool Chatti
  • Take a dip in the Surya Kund and perform the pooja as you offer reverence to the Mother Yamuna at the holy shrine.
  • Head back to Jan ki Chatti and return to your hotel in Barkot
  • Dinner and overnight stay in hotel
Day 3
Barkot to Uttarkashi
  • To reach the next destination on the Char Dham Yatra, head for Uttarkashi after breakfast.
  • Uttarkashi is a small town situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi river.
  • Make the most of your time here as you visit the Vishwanath Temple. Located in the heart of the town, this ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
  • Explore the local market of Uttarkashi which surrounds the temple and return to the hotel for overnight stay
Day 4
Gangotri Temple Visit
  • Early morning drive towards the Gangotri Dham
  • You will be lured by the surreal views of the blue waters of the Bhagirathi flowing across the Harsil Valley and deodar trees offering a pleasant freshness to the air
  • Reach the temple, take a dip in the sacred waters of the Ganga which is called Bhagirathi at its origin, and offer your prayers to Mother Ganga
  • On your way back to Uttarkashi, stop by at Gangnani to take a holy dip in the hot-water springs
  • Also, explore the Harsil valley and Dharali, as you interact with the local people in the remote valley
  • Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Uttarkashi
Day 5
Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
  • The next destination of the yatra is Kedarnath and our stop for the day will be Sitapur at the base of the long trek to the holy shrine.
  • Post breakfast, drive to Guptkashi via Tilwada where you can see the Mandakini river which comes from Kedarnath flowing alongside.
  • Reach Guptkashi, and check-in at the hotel
  • Relax and spend the night here to acclimatize
Day 6
Kedarnath Trek
  • Wake up early and after breakfast reach Gaurikund to start the trek to the dham
  • Join the other pilgrims on the 16 KM trek, which is full of many resting points and food joints where you can stop to have lunch and rest in between
  • You can also hire ponies or palanquins for this arduous trek.
  • Reach the temple by evening to get mesmerized by the natural beauty and spirituality that surges in the air of this Jyotirlinga.
  • After a quick check-in, proceed for darshan and aarti at the temple.
  • Return to your hotel and enjoy a good night’s sleep in the vicinity of the temple
Day 7
Back to Guptkashi
  • Wake up in the morning to witness the glory of the temple with the Kedarnath range in the backdrop illuminated by the sun’s rays
  • You can pay a final homage at the temple, before heading back to Gaurikund, the last road head.
  • From Gaurikund reach Guptkashi to check-in at the hotel.
  • The day is at leisure, and you explore the nearby area or rest in your rooms.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi hotel
Day 8
Guptkashi to Badrinath
  • Post breakfast, proceed towards the final destination on the char dham yatra by train, Badrinath via Joshimath.
  • Enjoy the surreal views of the Ganga as it flows along, on your drive towards the final pilgrimage on this journey
  • Reach Badrinath, and after a quick check-in, explore the picturesque surrounding area.
  • Have dinner and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay at your hotel
Day 9
Badrinath Temple
  • Wake up to enjoy a hearty breakfast the beautiful Badrinath valley as you get prepared to visit the final destination on this holy journey
  • Take a dip in the holy Tapt Kund, before the darshan of Badri Vishal and perform the aarti at the temple.
  • Later, explore places like Bhim Pul, Vyas Gufa, Narad Kund, and the markets of Badrinath Valley
  • Have dinner and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay at your hotel as you complete your Char Dham Darshan
Day 10
Departure
  • Post breakfast, check out and head back towards Haridwar.
  • On the way back enjoy the scenic ride as you pass through high mountains and meandering rivers.
  • Spot some of the major river confluences in the valley of the Gods, as these rivers join to finally form the river Ganga at Devprayag.
  • Reach Haridwar and get dropped off at the railway station and carry on your onward journey to your homeland and bid adieu to the Devbhoomi.

  • During temple visits, the travelers are requested to take care of their personal belongings.

  • Breakfast and lunch is included in the package cost.
  • All inter-state taxes, toll taxes, driver allowance & parking etc are included in the package and you do not need to pay these directly at any point.
  • Train fare is not included in the package price.
