Overview

In the Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh lies the mystical hidden world of Patalkot. The name of this place literally means the place hidden under the earth, and as the name suggests, this place actually has a number of secrets hidden up its sleeve. This trekking and camping expedition in Patalkot takes you on your way to explore the same secrets.

Factual Information:
The valley of Patalkot is home to several small villages who live amidst the jungle and make use of the many medicinal plants and herbs that grow here. There are a lot of small paths and ways inside the valley that form a way to commute inside and outside these villages. Formed like a horseshoe, the valley is further surrounded by many hills with a deep gorge in the mid, and the river Doodhi flowing into it.

Activity:
The trekking and camping experience in the valley rich with wildlife and adventures is a great way to beat the effects of the bustling city life. The trekking expedition will take you to the famous Raja Kho. In the camps, you will enjoy the tribal dance performances of the locals, comprising mostly of the Gonds and Bharias. Apart from these, the stay here will bring an amazing amount of fun as you enjoy the dip in the river and river crossing, alongside adventure activities like Parasailing, Zorbing Roller, Archery, Zipline, Repelling, Rock Climbing, and Rope Activities(Burma Bridge, Commando Net, Valley Crossing, Jummaring, etc).

Stay:
You will be staying in double sharing waterproof tents provided with all the necessary amenities.
There are toilet tents as well as constructed washrooms on the campsite for use during the experience. 

How to Reach:
Patalkot is located North West of Chhindwara at a distance of 78 km and North East of Tamia at some 20 km away. A road transport like a hired cab or your own vehicle will bring you directly to Patalkot. 

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival | Trekking | River Crossing | Campfire and Tribal Dance

    11:00 AM: When you arrive at the entry gate of the Patalkot campsite, you will be greeted by our representatives and treated with a refreshing welcome drink.

    11:30 AM: Briefing about the day trek(4KM) to the tribal village where some of the rare tribes of Madhya Pradesh live. After the briefing, you will begin the trek.

    12:30 PM to 1:30 PM: Special Tribal lunch will be served at Patalkot Village. Post lunch 10 - 20 min will be given for relaxing.

    1:50 PM to 4:00 PM: After the delicious tribal food, you continue our trekking to the Raja Kho (Tourism and Religious place of Patalkot), where people can see the river flowing and the shelter of the Gond Raja and his Army. After viewing Rajakho you will then proceed to the river for some water fun and river crossing adventure.

    5:00 PM: Head back to the campsite before sunset.

    6:30 PM: Back to Patalkot campsite where Tea and Snacks will be provided. Relax and enjoy the peaceful night with lanterns and lights around the campsite.

    7:00 AM: Enjoy the beautiful Tribal Dance by locals sitting around the campfire.

    8:30: Have a Sumptuous dinner with light soothing music. After this, you are free to enjoy a peaceful sleep in the camp.

  • Day 2 -

    8:00 AM: Start the morning with breakfast and tea.

    9:00 AM: You will then move to the adventure activity area where activities like Parasailing, Zorbing Roller, Archery, Zip line, Repelling, Rock Climbing, Rope Activities (Burma Bridge, Commando Net, Valley Crossing, Jummaring) can be enjoyed.

    1:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch will be ready until the adventure games end. Post this, you will be checking out and bring the experience to an end.
