Thrillophilia is looking for someone who:

1. Understands business problems, hates slow websites and wants to own the user experience at Thrillophilia.
2. Can collaborate with product and marketing managers and developers across the business to develop user flows, wireframes, mockups and final designs that meet the business objectives of the organization, advances our brand strategy and reflects best practices.
3. Overall responsibility for understanding companies business requirements and converting that into appealing, highly usable interfaces.
4. Design Expertise – Knowledge of User Interface Design principles with heavy emphasis on mobile web, mobile app and industry best practices.
5. Develop and maintain all guidelines and processes for our digital properties and evolve according to best practices.
6. Manage multiple projects from conceptualization through completion. Strong attention to detail, the software development process, and prototyping.
7. Develops an understanding of the end users of the website/application through secondary and primary research and data  (user interviews, traffic data).
   
   

Desired Skills and Experience:

1. 1-3 years of experience
2. Sound with  HTML5 and CSS3, and JavaScript.
3. Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.
4. Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is a plus.
5. Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
6. Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
7. Creative vision for design and execution across web and mobile with a clear understanding of modern web browsers and responsive design.
8. Aesthetic appreciation beyond art, beauty, and taste towards audience appreciation, function and value with the ability to implement what you envision and design achieving measured outcomes.
9. Understanding with Agile, including Scrum. Hands-on Experience in mobile and Responsive Design.
10. Formal industry/professional experience as a web/mobile designer.
11. Solid portfolio demonstrating design savvy.
12. Good eye for aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory, and typography.
13. Understanding the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries.
