Mauritius Honeymoon Packages

Reviewed by Thrillophilia Mauritius Operations Team

Mauritius honeymoon packages start from INR 29,000 for a 4-day trip and go up to INR 55,000 and above for a 10-day itinerary, depending on the package inclusions. These itineraries are planned around your preferred resort, stay style, and budget rather than following a fixed sightseeing schedule.

The honeymoon experience also changes depending on the part of the island you choose. The east coast is known for quieter beaches and premium resorts; the west offers calm lagoons and sunset views; the north has easy access to beaches, cafés, and shopping areas; while the south is more scenic with fewer resorts and a stronger focus on nature.

Thrillophilia plans every Mauritius tour package for couples around practical travel requirements rather than fixed sightseeing schedules. Couples can choose from multiple resort categories, customise the itinerary based on their travel style, and receive assistance with stays, transfers, sightseeing, and booking support. Verified accommodations, transparent pricing, responsive destination experts, and 24/7 on-ground assistance help make the overall planning process simpler and more reliable.

A honeymoon in Mauritius is largely shaped by the resort category and meal plan you select. The island offers everything from beachfront resorts to private villas, allowing couples to choose a stay that matches the pace of their holiday. Beyond the resort, you can include experiences such as snorkelling, catamaran cruises, waterfall visits, and guided excursions to places like Ile aux Cerfs and Chamarel. Most Mauritius Tour Packages generally include airport transfers, accommodation, breakfast or all-inclusive meals depending on the package, selected water activities, and sightseeing tours.

How to Reach Mauritius from Major Indian Cities

By Air:

The main entry point is Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, which is connected to India via direct as well as connecting flights.

Direct Flights:

Direct flights operating between India and Mauritius are Air India and Air Mauritius and take approximately 6 to 8 hours, depending on the departure city.

Connecting Flights:

Connecting flights are available with airlines like Emirates, IndiGo, Ethiopian Airlines, and Kenya Airways. Flights via Doha, Dubai, and Addis Ababa usually take 10 to 15 hours total, depending on layover time.

Availability of flights, airlines, and duration depends on the season and departure city, so it is advised to check these factors at the time of booking. Mauritius trips from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other major Indian cities are available with both direct and connecting flight options, allowing travellers to choose an itinerary that best suits their budget and schedule. Mauritius honeymoon packages are generally curated in sync with flight timings and include airport transfers for a smoother arrival experience.

Visa Requirements for Indian Travellers

Indian passport holders travelling for a Mauritius honeymoon trip do not need to obtain a tourist visa before departure.

Instead, eligible travellers are generally granted visa-free entry or entry permission on arrival for tourism, subject to immigration approval and supporting documents.

Before travelling, keep the following documents ready:

  • A passport with at least 6 months' validity from the date of arrival.
  • Confirmed return or onward flight tickets.
  • Confirmed hotel or resort bookings.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of the stay.
  • Completed Mauritius All-in-One Travel Form, if applicable at the time of travel.

Since immigration requirements may change, travellers should always verify the latest entry rules before departure.

Best Time to Visit Mauritius for a Honeymoon

Mauritius is a year-round honeymoon destination, and the best time to visit depends on whether you prioritise cooler weather, calm beach conditions, or warmer sea temperatures for water activities.

Cool and Dry Season (May to October)

This is the most comfortable period for a honeymoon in Mauritius, with cooler temperatures, lower humidity, and stable weather across most parts of the island. These months are ideal for sightseeing, beach time, and outdoor activities such as snorkelling, hiking, and exploring coastal viewpoints around Le Morne Brabant. The East Coast can experience stronger winds during this period, which may slightly affect beach comfort and certain water activities.

Warm and Humid Season (November to April)

This period brings warmer temperatures, higher humidity, and occasional tropical showers, especially between January and March. Sea conditions remain favourable for swimming, snorkelling, and resort-led water activities, making it suitable for couples who enjoy lagoon experiences and beach-based relaxation. Early mornings are generally the best time for outdoor visits to places such as Ile aux Cerfs, Chamarel, and Le Morne Brabant.

Best Places to Visit on a Mauritius Honeymoon

Mauritius offers a mix of beaches, nature reserves, scenic viewpoints, and island excursions. These places can easily be combined into a Mauritius honeymoon package from India, depending on the duration of your stay. These are some of the best places to visit in Mauritius:

Ile aux Cerfs

One of the most visited islands in Mauritius, Ile aux Cerfs is known for its white sand beaches, shallow turquoise lagoons, and a wide range of water activities. Most day trips include a speedboat or catamaran transfer, free time on the beach, and optional activities like parasailing, snorkelling, or tube rides. A Mauritius trip for couples almost always includes this excursion because it offers both relaxation and adventure in one day.

Le Morne Brabant

Located on the south-west coast, Le Morne Brabant is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic mountain backdrop and peaceful lagoon. Couples usually spend time on the beach, enjoy sunset walks, or opt for a guided trek to the summit for panoramic views. A Mauritius tour package for couples often includes Le Morne because it offers a quieter atmosphere compared to the busier northern beaches.

Grand Baie

Situated on the northern coast, Grand Baie is one of the liveliest parts of Mauritius. It offers restaurants, cafés, shopping areas, beaches, and easy access to water sports. Couples staying in the north often spend an evening here exploring the local atmosphere after relaxing at the resort.

Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth & Chamarel Waterfall

Chamarel is one of Mauritius' most famous natural attractions, where colourful volcanic sand dunes sit alongside one of the island's tallest waterfalls. Most visits also include nearby viewpoints and local attractions, making it an easy half-day excursion. A Mauritius honeymoon package from India frequently combines Chamarel Waterfalls with Le Morne or Black River Gorges in the same sightseeing circuit.

Black River Gorges National Park

This protected forest reserve offers waterfalls, hiking trails, viewpoints, and native wildlife that provide a completely different side of Mauritius beyond its beaches. Couples looking for nature, scenic drives, and peaceful landscapes usually enjoy spending a day at Black River Gorges National Park. Many Mauritius honeymoon tour packages from India include this park as part of their south-west sightseeing itinerary.

Best Things to Do on a Mauritius Honeymoon

Along with relaxing at your resort, a Mauritius honeymoon trip package becomes more memorable when you include a few signature experiences across the island. Below are some of the best things to do in Mauritius on a honeymoon:

Sail on a Catamaran Cruise to Ile aux Cerfs

A full-day catamaran cruise remains one of the signature experiences in Mauritius. Couples can relax on deck, stop for snorkelling sessions, enjoy beach time on Ile aux Cerfs, and experience the island from the water. A Mauritius honeymoon trip package usually includes Ile aux Cerfs excursion because it combines sightseeing with leisure without requiring frequent transfers.

Enjoy Water Activities at Blue Bay Marine Park

Blue Bay is among the best locations for snorkelling, glass-bottom boat rides, and exploring coral reefs. Blue Bay is also one of the top destinations for water sports in Mauritius, with activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and speedboat rides available alongside guided snorkelling experiences. Even beginners can comfortably participate because of the calm lagoon conditions. A Mauritius trip for couples often feels incomplete without spending time exploring the island's marine life.

Snorkelling is often the highlight for couples visiting Mauritius for the first time, and this is why many of Thrillophilia’s Mauritius honeymoon trip packages provide access to this activity. Aman Verma from Jaipur, who travelled on Discovering Mauritius | A Tropical Getaway, shared, “I really loved snorkelling during our Mauritius trip from Jaipur. Seeing so many colourful fish for the first time was a great feeling.”

Relax at Le Morne Beach

Le Morne is perfect for couples looking to spend a peaceful day by the sea. Beyond relaxing on the beach, couples can enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply watch the sunset against the mountain backdrop without the crowds found elsewhere.

Explore Grand Baie

Grand Baie offers cafés, shopping streets, local markets, beach clubs, and casual evening walks along the waterfront. Grand Baie is a good option for couples who want to spend a few hours outside the resort and experience a more local side of Mauritius.

Visit Chamarel and the South-West Coast

A scenic drive through the south-west lets couples explore Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth, Chamarel Waterfall, viewpoints, and nearby villages. The route offers one of the best combinations of nature and sightseeing on the island and is included in many Mauritius honeymoon package from India itineraries.

Vegetarian & Food Guide for Indian Travellers

Indian travellers generally do not face difficulty finding vegetarian food in Mauritius, especially around major tourist areas and resorts.

Each Mauritius honeymoon package from India offered by Thrillophilia includes daily breakfast, while several packages also include half-board or all-inclusive meal plans. These meals usually come with vegetarian options, and many partner resorts serve Indian dishes alongside international cuisine. These meal options are equally valued by travellers booking Mauritius family trips, as they provide convenient dining choices throughout the holiday without the need to search for restaurants every day.

If informed in advance and subject to hotel availability, Jain meal requests can also be arranged at several resorts. Sharing dietary preferences before travel helps hotels prepare suitable meals during your stay.

Outside the resort, couples can also explore restaurants serving Indian and vegetarian food across Grand Baie, Flic en Flac, Port Louis, and Belle Mare. Some popular choices include:

  • Happy Rajah
  • Namaste Restaurant
  • Saffron Grill
  • Indian Summer
  • House of India

Local vegetarian dishes worth trying include vegetable curries, dholl puri, farata, rougaille, fresh tropical fruits, and locally made desserts.

Thrillophilia destination experts also recommend restaurants located close to your resort so you can easily plan meals during leisure time without spending time searching after arrival.

Why Book Your Mauritius Honeymoon with Thrillophilia

Unlike fixed holiday packages, every Mauritius trip for couples is planned around how couples actually spend their time on the island. Rather than trying to cover every attraction, the focus remains on selecting the right resort, balancing sightseeing with relaxation, and avoiding unnecessary travel between different parts of Mauritius.

  • Resort-first planning instead of attraction-first planning - Thrillophilia helps couples choose the right coast, North, West, East, or South, based on the honeymoon they actually want. Whether the priority is sunset beaches, quieter resorts, premium stays, or easier access to excursions, the itinerary is built around the stay experience rather than simply listing attractions. Similar flexibility is available for Mauritius group trips, where itineraries are tailored to suit different budgets and shared travel preferences.
  • Meal plans explained before booking - Instead of simply offering breakfast-only or all-inclusive options, the team explains how each meal plan affects overall trip expenses. Couples receive guidance on whether breakfast, half-board, or Mauritius honeymoon packages all-inclusive provide better value based on their sightseeing plans and resort location.
  • Balanced sightseeing without rushing the itinerary - Mauritius is a stay-led destination, so itineraries are planned with realistic travel times. Activities like Ile aux Cerfs, Chamarel, and Black River Gorges are distributed across different days instead of packing multiple long excursions together, allowing enough time to actually enjoy the resort.
  • Verified resorts with dedicated travel assistance - Every booking includes verified accommodation, airport transfers, destination experts, transparent pricing, and responsive on-ground assistance whenever required. From pre-booking guidance to arrival support, couples receive help throughout their Mauritius honeymoon trip instead of managing logistics independently. This level of coordination is something many honeymoon couples specifically appreciate. Deepika Gupta from Delhi, who travelled on the Offshore Romance – Mauritius Honeymoon Package, mentioned, “Right from booking till the last day, everything was taken care of properly… All information was shared on WhatsApp one day before each activity so we always knew what was happening next. No confusion at any point during the trip. The whole trip was hassle-free and well organised.”
  • Customisation based on travel style and budget - Whether you're planning a shorter getaway or comparing the Mauritius honeymoon package cost across different resort categories, itineraries can be adjusted around trip duration, resort upgrades, meal plans, and selected experiences instead of following a one-size-fits-all plan.

The weather was perfect and the island was less crowded. Ile Aux Cerfs island hopping was the best day of the trip. The 7-coloured earth at Chamarel genuinely looks like a painting. Hotel staff were incredibly warm and hospitable.
