This institute is funded by Department of Science and Technology. Location: The observatory is at a 4.5 KM distance from Nainital which you can easily reach through any means of transportation. Highlights: If you are interested in astrophysics and related domains, this place is something you must surely visit. With proper permission, you can have a look at the various celestial bodies through the telescope in the observatory. Best time to visit: The observatory is only open from 7 to 9 in the evening.
