The Brindavan Gardens, spread across 60 acres, is an Eden with topiaries, gazebos, trees, flowers and an illuminated musical fountain. The climb to the top involves some 1000 or so steps and you’re rewarded with great views of the city and a chance to enjoy a little bird-watching.

If you’re in Mysore during September and October, you’ll be witness to Dasara, the state festival, that’s celebrated with great fervour.
