It is known for its pine and cedar trees along with the grand Victorian-era buildings constructed by the British. The buildings are fine examples of the glorious past of the place under British rule. The region is home to many endangered species of animal life which are found in the dense forests.Included Attractions - 1. Christ ChurchThe Christ Church Kasauli (founded in 1844) was constructed by the British family who founded the town of Kasauli itself. The church is a magnificent structure built in the shape of a cross. Set amidst a grove of chestnut and fir trees, the church offers a quiet and tranquil atmosphere.2. Dagshai Jail MuseumThis is a Jail turned to a museum which was built in the British Raj, It is also interesting to know that Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Our Nation, has spent a day in this jail! The structure has 54 cellular cells, out of which 16 cells were used for severe punishments Solitary. These cells were hardly ventilated and there was no source for natural light.3. Dagshai CemeteryThis Cemetery is famous for its eerie tales and for the grave of Mary Rebeca Weston which has a beautiful structure over it, arranged by her husband Major George Weston. 4. Dagshai Church A beautiful church in the small town of Dagshai, It is famous for its beautiful wall paintings and the surreal views around it.5. Mall RoadThis is a much-loved exception to the otherwise quiet Kasauli. While most areas in Kasauli are off-beat, one must not miss this colourful hustle-bustle of the town. The market is at its vibrant best during early evenings and a stroll here is highly recommended.
