Xujiahui Cathedral And The Sheshan Basilica, Shanghai

The Xujiahui Cathedral or the St. Ignatius Cathedral is the biggest and the most famous cathedral in Shanghai. This cathedral is also known as the ‘Vatican of Shanghai’ and its outside shape resembles a Latin cross. Inside the cathedral, you can find amazing examples of design and architecture in the form of pillars, windows, altars, etc.

Follow the rules regarding personal attire while visiting. Sheshan Basilica, also known as Basilica of Mary, Help of Christians, is an important Roman Catholic Church of Shanghai. The best time to visit here is in May when crowds of pilgrims come here for the annual pilgrimage.
