The Royal Botanic Gardens is the oldest Botanic Garden as well as a reputed scientific institution in Australia. This magnificent Garden houses an extraordinary collection of rare and exotic plants from Australia and around the world.

The layout of the Garden is divided into 4 major sections - The Lower Gardens, the Middle Gardens, the Palace Gardens and the Bennelong Precinct. Within each section there are smaller Gardens with lush green lawns and wooded areas. Right in the middle of the Four sections there is the Palm Grove Centre which has a restaurant, a cafe, a bookshop and a visitor's centre. The Royal Botanic Gardens showcases 10 beautifully themed gardens presenting Tropical gardens, Rainforest gardens, Australian gardens to name a few. 

There are quite a few experiences you can enjoy at the Royal Botanic Gardens such as indulging in an Aboriginal Bush Food Experience where you can learn to identify traditional fruits, berries, vegetables, etc. You can also learn about the Aboriginal history and the Cadigal people with the Aboriginal Heritage Tour. 

Besides the themed Gardens and the tours you should also visit The Calyx which is a complex that hosts exhibitions, workshops and live concerts.
