Lake Tekapo Overview

Considered to be the bluest lake in the whole of New Zealand, Lake Tekapo scores very high in terms of natural beauty. It even has its own hot springs, apart from some really amazing cafés and restaurants with spectacular views. The town of Lake Tekapo is very close to the popular Mount cook national park.

Nestled in the heart of South Island, the Lake Tekapo is amongst the most beautiful places to see in New Zealand. The township is full of natural elegance and offers stunning views of a turquoise blue lake and the charismatic Southern Alps. It is also known as the famous spot for stargazing and a designated UNESCO Dark Sky Reserve.

Tekapo Springs offers a perfect setting for a range of water sports and incredible views to feel rejuvenated. It houses hot pools, spas, steam rooms, saunas, water slides, and much more suitable for tiny tots to old aged people.

Its Church of the Good Shepherd is a popular place of worship and photo shoots. However, Mount John Observatory is to witness the symphony of colours in the night sky. The region is indeed a great location to have some memorable moments in tranquil, crowd-free, and pollution-free environments.
