Heritage House was built in 1890 and this one is a courtyard house that offers the visitors to explore the house of a wealthy pearl merchant. The unbelievable fact about the house is that it is built of coral and gypsum and houses a central courtyard which has beautiful verandahs that keep the direct sunlight coming away.
Many of the rooms in the house have audio visual displays and the use of dioramas recreate the traditional life styles.
Highlights: This building is praised as the exemplary structure that showcases how a traditional Gulf mansion can be. The large exterior walls without windows are the sturdy protectors of the house. The main room called Al Makhzan would be visible after you cross the finely carved teak doors that are beautified with palm and floral creations.
In the main room, you can see mannequins that show the traditional dress and jewellery but the room is made extravagant with the Western imports, an old gramophone, a Seth Thomas clock etc.

Timings: The house is open on all days from 08:00 am to 07:30 pm but on Fridays, it will be open from 02:30 pm to 07:30 pm.
